Winner - 2003 World Class New Zealand Award

Andrew Lark is a global communications and marketing professional with more than 18 years' experience spanning America, Asia, Europe and New Zealand.

Born and bred in Auckland, Andrew holds a BA from Auckland University.

In 2003, when he won the inaugural award, Andrew was Vice President, Global Communications and Marketing, for computer giant Sun Microsystems and a member of the NZTE Beachheads Advisory Board in the United States.

Prior to Sun Microsystems, Andrew was Chief Marketing Officer for Nortel Networks, Asia Pacific. During his career, he has worked with and for Fortune 500 and Times 100 companies, technology leaders, start-ups and world-leading advertising and communications agencies.

Andrew is an advisor to start-ups and venture capitalists and has assisted dozens of companies with their offshore strategies. He currently sits on the board of Argent Networks and the advisory board of Number 8 Ventures.

Andrew's achievements have earned him multiple awards and recognition including being named by PR Week as one of technology industry's "Most Influential" communicators. And in 2001, the corporate communications team he built won the "Corporate Communications Team of the Year" in PR Week's inaugural US awards.
